Magic & Illusion
SNAP performed for sold-out crowds at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016, returning in 2017 for an encore run. In April 2019, SNAP debuted in the U.S. for a successful run off-Broadway at The New Victory Theater. Mixing dexterous sleight of hand, Chaplin-esque vaudevillian comedy and ingenious visual effects, the cast of SNAP employs their gift of silent storytelling to reach over cultural and language barriers and entertain audiences around the world. SNAP holds the Asian Arts Award for Best Production and Broadway World’s “Best Magic Show” title.
“In SNAP, we are trying to create the fantasy of an altered reality. Based on intuitive stage language and fairytale storytelling, the show combines mime, shadow graffiti, media art and physical theater with magic. SNAP develops a structure of mystery and suspense through the conflict, the intertwined double lives of the characters and the imagery on stage to present dreamlike impressions. I hope you all enjoy the magic, mystery and fantasy that we have brought to you from Korea!” – Casa Kim, Artistic Director
